My initial thoughts, at the storyboarding stage, was that the midwives would be performing a sort of ritual at the second scene, when the car is to be "welcomed" into the world. As I modelled and the project progressed, I decided there should be sets of midwife drones. Two, which open the gates to this "beast" that is to be welcomed and two that will reveal the "beast".
The drone I knew should be menacing and represent really iconic colours that have been present throughout the whole theme. I kept to the purple, black and gold theme for the drone. My progression images of the midwife drone are shown below:
